Inspired by the life and work of her grandfather Joaquim da Costa Ribeiro, a pioneer of physics in Brazil, Ana investigates the mysteries of Thermodielectric, a natural phenomenon discovered by him in 1944. She visits palm tree plantations, mineral deposits and laboratories mixing archival materials with current landscapes. She narrates to the viewer everything she finds along the way, converging the fields of art and science. This enigmatic encounter, full of questions and doubts but also curiosity and poetry, results in a deep reflection on the phase changes in our lives.
